Lesson Program Information & Policy

Monthly Tuition payment reserves a teacher and a space in the studio for each week. Because of this system of reservation, tuition is due regardless of student attendance.

• Length of Session: Private lessons are scheduled one session per week at 30 minutes per session, recurring until cancellation.
• Rate: The lesson fee is $20 per half-hour time slot, paid monthly. Most months will be four (4) lessons, but some will have three (3) or even five (5). Excused lessons are handled as below.
• Payment:Lesson payment is the first of the month in advance to the front counter in the form of cash, check, or credit/debit card. Checks are to be made out to R&R Music.
• Cancellations
  • Student: An excused lesson is one that is canceled with at least 24 hours notice. That lesson may be made up at the convenience of the teacher and student, however, please do not exceed more than six (6) make-up lessons per year.
  • Teacher: Teachers are required to make up or credit lesson they have to cancel.
  • Weather: In case of poor weather conditions, call R&R Music. If the store is open and your teacher is present, all regular policies will be in effect. If the store has to close, that lesson may be deducted from the month.
  • Holidays: There are no lessons on holidays in which the store is not open.
• No Call/No Shows: If 10 minutes has passed into your session and you have not called to notify you’re running late, your instructor is excused and may not be available for your lesson when you arrive. If your instructor receives no contact without prior arrangements from you for over 2 weeks, you will be removed from their schedule and will forfeit payments for the missed time.
• We know all good things must come to an end, so when it is time to cancel indefinitely, the teacher requires at least two weeks written notice.  Tuition must be paid through these two weeks.
