Formerly the 5150 amp Review by Riveraman
Quality Features Overall Price Value I have owned a lot of boutique amps. Hughes & Kettner, Bogner, Soldano, RIvera, Engl, Marshall JCM 800, and an old Egnater. I would say I have a strong taste for boutique amps. I have owned heads and cabinets, but now I am in the market for combos. It's everything you need in one package.
The 6505 1 X 12 combo is ideal because it is the only non boutique combo I would be proud to own. It has a high-end sound with good stage presence, punch, and most importantly good bottom-end at a reasonable price.
Another very important point I want to make when an amp Make sure the repair and parts are available in the U.S.. Some of the amps I bought are made in Germany. The specialized parts also are made in Germany. You guessed, you have order these parts from Germany. Hopefully, they are still made.
This amp is American made. The parts and repair centers are everywhere.
If you want a great combo that can do it all, this amp is for you. Dio, Scorpions, Three Day's Grace, Ramones, Kiss, Aerosmith, Van Halen, and who ever. It has a range of tones. Once you master the knobs, the musical world is your oyster.
Give it a try? You have everything to gain.
Hope this helps,

Clear, crisp, and thrashin' Review by Het1313
Quality Features Overall Price Value Where do I start....... This amp is a real dream come true. For years I have been hunting for the perfect amp. I have tried Marshall, Mesa, Orange, etc. and none of them come close to the value of this bad boy (the mesa came close but the price just killed it). When I took it home from R&R I was just astounded. This thing has the best lead channel I've used. It really gets that low end crunch and the clean is bright and beautiful. The tank reverb is a nice new feature that is exclusive to this 6505. When you push this to high volume it still remains clear which is awesome. I've always seen these amp on stage with some of my favorite bands and I now see why. A fantastic tube amp at this price come, you just can't beat it! (Posted on 10/21/10)
